Bitewing X-Rays
Bitewing X-rays capture detailed images of the upper and lower back teeth in one area, focusing on the spaces between teeth. These are particularly useful for detecting cavities between teeth and monitoring the bone levels that support the teeth.

How It’s Done: You’ll bite down on a small tab while the X-ray machine captures the image. This process is quick and comfortable, lasting only a few seconds.

Periapical X-Rays
Periapical X-rays provide a close-up view of an entire tooth, from the crown to the root and surrounding bone. They are often used to diagnose issues at the root level or within the bone, such as abscesses, cysts, or fractures.

How It’s Done: A small X-ray film or sensor is placed inside your mouth near the targeted tooth, and the image is taken in seconds.

Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays capture a broad, two-dimensional view of your entire mouth, including all teeth, upper and lower jaws, sinuses, and temporomandibular joints (TMJ). These are helpful for assessing overall oral health, evaluating wisdom teeth, and planning orthodontic or implant treatments.

How It’s Done: You’ll stand or sit still while the X-ray machine rotates around your head to capture the full image. This procedure is completely painless and takes less than a minute.

CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)
CBCT scans produce a three-dimensional image of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. This advanced imaging is often used for precise implant planning, diagnosing complex conditions, or evaluating bone density and nerve positioning.

How It’s Done: You’ll sit or stand while the CBCT machine rotates around your head to create a 3D image. This provides detailed information not available with traditional X-rays.
