Once your orthodontic treatment is complete, we’ll take impressions of your teeth to create a custom retainer. Retainers can be fixed (bonded to the back of teeth) or removable (clear or wire retainers). During your appointment, we’ll explain how to wear and care for your retainer to ensure its longevity and effectiveness.
How long do I need to wear a retainer?
Initially, retainers are worn full-time, then gradually reduced to nighttime use.
