A Lifetime of Service: Dr. Thomas Dix
Dr. Thomas Dix has been a practicing dentist for over 50 years, making him one of the most experienced and respected dental professionals in Cobb County. A proud alumnus of the University of Georgia and the Dental College of Georgia, Dr. Dix began his career by opening a specialized practice focused on removable prosthodontics, including dentures and partial dentures.
Recognized as a guru in removable dentistry, Dr. Dix has helped thousands of patients restore their smiles and confidence. He first opened his practice in Mableton, later relocating to Austell, where he continued serving generations of families with personalized, trustworthy care. His legacy spans decades—and communities—throughout West Cobb.
The Next Generation: Dr. Pooya Hoseinzadeh
In 2021, while still a dental student at the Dental College of Georgia, Dr. Pooya Hoseinzadeh met Dr. Dix—and a meaningful professional relationship began. Like Dr. Dix, Dr. Pooya is also a graduate of the University of Georgia, and he shared the same passion for high-quality, patient-focused dentistry.
What started as mentorship quickly evolved into a powerful partnership built on mutual respect, shared clinical philosophy, and a desire to serve the community together. Dr. Pooya admired Dr. Dix’s experience and patient loyalty, while Dr. Dix saw in Dr. Pooya the energy and vision to help carry the practice into the future.
A New Vision for Dental Care in Powder Springs
To better accommodate the growing needs of patients in Powder Springs and across West Cobb, the doctors decided to move from a 4-operatory office to a newly renovated, 6-operatory dental facility—a space that reflects their shared commitment to quality, comfort, and efficiency.
The new location allows West Cobb Dental Studio to:
- Offer faster appointment availability and shorter wait times
- Provide expanded services, including cosmetic dentistry, emergency dental care, dental crowns and fillings, digital dentistry and deep cleanings for gum disease
- Serve more families across Cobb County, including Powder Springs, Austell, and Mableton
Despite the challenges of relocating and renovating, both doctors remained focused on their goal: to create a beautiful, modern dental office that never compromises on quality.
